It was kind of complicated because I only run on trademill. Wisely my daughter had told me to practice on the street, and told me some other wonderful tips, but the most important, the first one I just didn’t do it… So, in a way I was not fully prepared. Ages ago I used to run only in parks surrounded by beautiful trees. That was then, but now I am in a schedule were I need to run around five to six in the morning and is better to do it indoors.
I kept running the 5k every single week-day for months, with an average speed of 10 miles per hour. I prepared my glasses, my clothing which for me needs to be the most comfortable one and to look OK. Suddenly the week before I started to panic!!!! My legs got stiffed, I was supper worried…
OMG!!! That Saturday I was transported inside the video. Everything was like exactly the same and more. There were several race schedules. I choose to run at noon… the sunny day was full of hotness and the air was dense and not to humid… I started running and I felt like the pavement was moving sand and I felt as heavy as a mammoth!!! I tried to change my pace but it was impossible… I just focus like on my daily running and kept moving with rhythm but slowly very slowly compared with my regular speed. I noticed that it was working, I was moving, and somebody passed me. Amazingly I passed somebody else!!! Then there were some humans just around me. Checking my pace trying to go a little ahead or a little behind. It was not comfortable. The really nice things were when I was battered in the first color with all the volunteers super happy and cheering at all the runners in such an incredible way!!! In other stations they watered us, took pictures and really, really took care of all the runners. The sponsors, super nice!!! The goodies!!! And the party at the end!!! Whoa!!! So much fun!!!! There are many details that are better explained in the album on my Facebook and here is the link https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.590762534282175.1073741830.100000453024190&type=1&l=3b4bf29de9
After, I couldn’t help it… I went straight to swim for 30 minutes to relax from the happiest, first time ever race I have ever done. To my family and friends thank you for all your support. To the Color Run, all the best!!! Thank you!! 😀 ♥ ♥ ♥
Interesting blog! Is your theme custom made or did you
download it from somewhere? A theme like yours with a few
simple adjustements would really make my blog jump out. Please let me know where you got your design.
Kudos
