Dear All,

How wonderful to start our Summer Session at OLLI, welcome to fun, learning, and interesting fun.

One of the first things we do in the first class is to getting to know each other.

 Also, beside the salutations, we have the opportunity of customize the class for your special interests.

We have today 8.93 million smartphone apps worldwide. 

The average apps per user is 40 just in the smartphones.

And because of that, we need to focus on the ones you like, the devices you use, and to see and relate to some of the needs that other users at OLLI have.

In this class we have shared last Thursday:

   Type of devices you use, like iPad Pro, iPhone 6, Samsung, Windows computer system, and a Chrome book.

    Apps that you are most interested in, like: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, You Tube, and What’s App.

We started last class, with:

    Facebook Settings;

           The basics.

            Security and Login.

            Privacy.

            Profile and Tagging.

            Blocking.

            Language and Region.

I gave you definitions, how to use them, and examples.

All of you have already and account in Facebook.

Unless you want to review how to create an account, we will skip that part. 

We also talked about how to set your Profile and what information you would like to share.

Profile Pictures and Cover Photos were up most interesting to talk about.

We talked about reputation and some other tips about security and people.

We touched the feeling of trust over time with Facebook users and I gave you examples.

Talking about security, I also gave you how depending of the influencer, celebrity, or famous status you will have information about people through the internet. Remember the example I gave you.

Sometimes you will be an active user, others just a receiving user, sometimes both.

In this session you will learn how it is done in a comfortable and secured manner, according to the latest information the app in use provides.
